There is another color to Ireland beyond the green. In the early 1900's Irish women were stitching white linen and lace while men like Tom Crean and Ernest Shackleton were ensconced in the vast whiteness of Antarctica. Some stories are often told and others lay hidden in little fascinating folds of history.

With this Cordage Necklace Kit you will receive everything you need to create a beautiful white on white cordage necklace. We will be exploring the technique of cabling which creates a rope like appearance harkening to the rope that saved the Endurance Expedition.

Each necklace can be worn as a three strand necklace and folks can choose to cable their cord or not depending on preference.

A video tutorial will guide you through the process and I will share with you some of what has fascinated me about cordage, polar exploration, and the Irish linen industry.

Please let me know which combination of beads and materials you prefer. And thank you for taking this journey with me!
