I am delighted that you have found a piece that you want to wear or give as a gift. Each piece is handmade by myself at my studio in Northern California. I love knowing that a piece is going to go and live it's life and shine so if you find that it is not bringing you the joy you were looking for, I am happy to accept returns within 30 days for store or workshop credit. Shipping is not included in the sales price. Thanks for your understanding and patronage!
I wear jewelry while rough housing with my son and have taken my gold chain to the jeweler three times for repair. The jeweler rolls his eyes at me and I keep rolling with my kiddos.
One of the amazing things about cordage is how strong it is- but accidents happen. If your necklace breaks, let me know. I have only had two necklaces need repairing over the years and the repairs become sweet additions to the piece.
Feel free to reach out. I ask a nominal fee and if the repair needed is due to my craftsmanship rather than a random occurrence, I will repair it for no cost. I want you to live your life fully, adorned and feeling free!
If your necklace gets between you and your pasta and red sauce it is totally fine to soak it in water with mild detergent and follow typical care instructions for hand washing fine fabrics and leather.
Drying it is the fun part- hang it over a doorknob out of direct sun and use a carabiner or clip attached to something weighty like a water bottle and let it hang until dry. Best to rotate the necklace a few times as it dries to keep a nice curved shape. It is not absolutely necessary to hang dry but I find that it helps the necklaces to have a nicer swing when worn.
