Every fabric has a sweet spot of how it wants to be made into cordage. There are so many variables to consider and knowing where to start or what options to consider can be overwhelming. Making is only part of the process and design is just a fancy way of saying playing and listening to the materials. I have made cordage from a wide variety of materials and love finding the balance between what we want and what the fabric wants. Let me help you come up with a beautiful approach to your cordage project. We will brainstorm what it is you are wanting and look at the materials that you have together online. I will guide you on making samples that use techniques that I have explored and find ones that work for you. We will explore size, pattern, rhythm, color and meaning. It brings me so much joy when I can help folks find a way to connect the story of where the material has come from with its form as cordage.
